Good afternoon everyone, I hope that you are all doing well. Today I want to talk to you about English learning resources and ideas for improving your reading skills in particular. First off, there are many simple ways to sharpen your English reading skills or expand your vocabulary out there. So if you have an internet connection, and let’s face it, if you are reading this you most likely do, I hope these can help you.
みなさん、こんにちは。お元気ですか？今日はいくつかの英語勉強に参考になるアイディアを差し上げます。特に、読書をスキルアップするためのです。まず言いますが、英語の読みをさらに良くなるためにはいろんなやり方もありますし、単語数を増やす方法も様々あります。もしインターネットを持っている方（これを読んでいるのであればおそらく持ってますね！）次のアイディアを参考にして見てください。
So for this blog post, I want to provide for you some of the resources and links I use when I am researching or am gathering materials for some of my classes or activities and even my own studies. I will also give you a brief explanation of each link listed below, and give you an idea of how you might find them useful. I’m going to break it down into two basic levels though there may be some overlap, so if you want to explore all the materials please feel free.
今回のブログは、私が教えてる時や自分の勉強のためにも実際に使っているリンクなどを教えます。リンクの下に短く説明も入れてどのように使えばいいかを書きました。２つのレベルに分けてリストします。ただ、微妙にダブるので、全部見たほうがよいでしょう。

ABC MAGIC PHONICS フォニックス
If you have a mobile Apple device I recommend that you download the ABC MAGIC PHONICS-Learning Sounds and Letters app from the Apple App store. (Be aware there are numerous versions of this app so please look for the one that has this icon.) The others you might see aren’t bad, but I really like this one in particular. And it's free!
アップルモバイルのお持ちの方、こちらをオススメします。アルファベットの発音が聞けます。他の似たようなアプリもありますので、右側のアイコンのアプリをダウンロードするようにご注意ください。無料です！
The description of the app reads, “This app will help your child learn the sounds of the letters of the alphabet, which are necessary for reading. Learning the sounds of the letters gives your child the tools for reading and helps them become better readers. A matching phonetic photo image is matched with each letter to help your child learn the sound of each letter.”
説明では、「読書で必要となるアルファベットの音を習ます。もっと読めるように、こちらのアプリはお子様に重要なツールを教えてくれます。各文字と一緒に発音も書かれてるので、正しい発音もできるようになります。」
In essence, it’s a tool that can help your child with the basics of the English language. I have used this app to aid in beginner lessons and find that is generally enjoyed by my students.
こちらのアプリは、英語の基本の部分を教えてくれます。初心の生徒と一緒にこのアプリを使ったことがあります。みんなは楽しく利用されています。
FRY SIGHT WORDS 単語
The second resource I’d recommend is for parents to look over the Fry Sight Words List.

If your child is learning to read the Fry sight words are simply a list of the most common words in the English language. I recommend the first two and if your child is ambitious possibly the third of the PDFs that are listed on the website. If your child knows how to read these words, or at least get familiar with them they can focus more of their time and energy on learning other words.
こちらの単語リストは、英語で一番多く使われる単語をまとめたものです。１と２番をオススメしますが、もっとチャレンジしたければ３番もできます。もしこちらの単語が全部読めるようになったら、次々と他の単語も加えることができます。

Intermediate to advanced.
中級〜上級
FRY SIGHT WORDS 単語
Once again I recommend that a student get familiar with the rest of the Fry Sight Words. These would be lists 3 through 10. If you master these words then you will have 1,000 very recognizable words that you can use when you speak English.
もう一度 Fry Sight Words をオススメします。これは３番から１０番です。これらを全てできたら、英語で一番普段に使われる最初の1,000個の単語となります。
AN ONLINE DICTIONARY & THESAURUS オンライン辞書と類義語辞典
Now what do you do with all these words you’ve learned to read? It’s time to learn the meaning of the words. In order to do that you can use a dictionary. I’d recommend the Oxford Learner’s Dictionary.
さて、単語を覚えたら次はどうするか？単語の意味を勉強します。それをするには、辞典が必要ですね。私のオススメは上記のリンクです。
As is anything with so much information, you have to be careful when using this as there might be too much information to look through. If that’s the case take you time. You’ll get it.
よくあることですが、思ったより多くのインフォメーションがあると圧倒されしまいます。そう言う時はじっくり、ゆっくりと勉強しましょう。できますよ！
In addition to a dictionary a thesaurus is a great tool for English learners. Once again I recommend Thesaurus.com
英語を勉強されている方には類義語辞典は役に立ちます。私のオススメです。
OTHER IDEAS 他なアイディア
Find a newspaper you like and see if they have an English edition. I leave it up to you which paper you want to read through.
好きな新聞紙を買って英語版があるかを調べて見る。
Finally and perhaps this can go with all over levels as well, find a book that you’ve enjoyed and try to find it in English and read it. If you can’t understand something that’s written look at your original copy. It's a great excuse to revisit something you've enjoyed once already.
全てのレベルに当てはまりますが、好きな本を考え、英語版を買って読んで見る。もし少しわからないのであれば、元読んだ日本語版と比べて勉強してみましょう。好きな本なので、２回目でも楽しく読めますね！
